Our Journey

  • 1992: Mr. Vasant Phadtare founds Kavitsu Techniques in Satara to manufacture planetary gearboxes.
  • Growth: the company becomes Kavitsu Transmissions Pvt. Ltd. and adds worm and helical gearboxes, winches, geared motors and KIVI electric motors.
  • 2009: Mr. Vasant Phadtare receives the Udyogshree Award. Voltas Ltd. and Tata Enterprises present an Appreciation Award for indigenously developed slewing ring bearings for 30 and 40 tonne mobile cranes.
  • 2010: KAVITSU Robotronix (P) Ltd. is set up for slewing ring bearings and automation. Kavitsu wins the First Best Display Award at Mahatech 2010, Pune.
  • Today: a leading planetary gearbox manufacturer in India, serving OEMs, EPC contractors and process plants at home and abroad.

Kavitsu has been an approved supplier to organisations such as BHEL, Voltas Ltd., Jindal Steel, Indian Oil Corporation, Walchandnagar Industries and National Aerospace. In the sugar sector, Kavitsu is recognised by the Commissionerate of Sugar, Maharashtra State, and the National Federation of Co-operative Sugar Factories.
